The Arts
Programs aimed towards developing self-expression, creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of visual arts, crafts, and performing arts. photography, drawing, singing, dance, storytelling, literacy and more. Members have the opportunity to try out new art media such as photography, drawing, and graphic design, and master new skills including dance, theatre, voice, and music.

Program Examples
Basic Photography/National Photography Exhibit:
Club members of all ages learn and practice black and white, color and digital process photography. The ImageMakers National Photography Contest provides local, regional and national recognition.

National Art Exhibit:
Encourages artistic expression among Club members through drawing, painting, print making, collage, mixed media and sculpture. Members have the opportunity for their works to be judged for for inclusion in the National Fine Arts Exhibit, which debuts at B&GCA’s National Conference and is displayed throughout the ensuing year.

Art History/Art Appreciation:
Participants gain a broad understanding of cultures and civilizations past and present through Art History and Art Appreciation; visits to local art galleries and museums are part of this program.
